The Requirements
An Ohio county
needed to comply with the State of Ohio's requirement to collect
and electronically report records of criminal convictions. The
system also needed to automatically import arrest data from
LiveScan fingerprinting machines at several police departments.The Solution
MindCrafted developed an Access
application that imports arrest records from LiveScan. Users
could also can enter records by hand for police departments
without LiveScan. Once a case was disposed of, the users entered
the final disposition. The Access application generated an
export file for e-mailing to the State of Ohio. Of all the 88
Ohio counties, ours was the first system to be certified by the
state.
